Just Another Day In Paradise

February 2

Today was a free day to do anything we wanted to. Our entire group has been on a Hunger Games craze so it was only appropriate to go to Have A Shot to shoot some bows and arrows. Mikaela, Natalie and I were naturals. Just kidding. We were not as skilled as Katniss is. Either way it was still a blast!

Driving to Wanaka Lake was awesome. Who would of thought that being in a car would be fun and so worth it. As we were driving James, our tour guide throughout the South Island, had us stop at a fresh fruit market. It was amazing. They had a few platters of the fruit cut up so we could taste them. They were so delicious and juicy. I’ve never had fruit so yummy in my tummy. The dried papaya was my favorite. It was basically candy. Yum!

Once we got to the lake we enjoyed the beautiful scenery once again and soaked up the sun. It was so relaxing and entertaining to people watch. My favorite was this scrawny old man that had his tog (bathing suit) rolled up so it looked like a speedo and a super hairy chest, shiver and shake as he got out of the ice cold water. It was really funny.

Once we were all tired from the sun we drove back to Queenstown. Last night we saw a street artist creating incredible masterpieces by using only spray paint and ripped paper. He created everything from sunsets to waterfalls, to the ocean with fog to the New York skyline. They were so sensational I had to have one as a souvenir.

All I said was I want something New Zealand like and this is the process and what he came up with!

The final product was of Milford Sound.
The artists name is Pascal Froment. Go like him on facebook!
